Did you really just do that?

We are now finished with the month-long blog challenge. That was just supposed to serve as an opener if you wanted to get to know me a little better.

So one day, this semester, I was using the restroom. Apparently another girl was too, because I could hear her whiz. Suddenly I hear a popping of a bag, and munching. Am I the only one who thinks this is disgusting? I mean seriously, we are in the bathroom! I thought it was interesting to note it was a means to an end. The eating will eventually lead to the wasting. It was so shocking.

Well, if you couldn't tell I have the same sense of humor as well as facial expressions. Also, my mom has told me that I'm an "adult-adult" meaning I get all the privileges like drinking, partying, etc. Not that my mom is promoting that, nor will I will be doing any of those things. But there is a point there. I am an adult-adult. I don't think adults refer to themselves that way, let alone as adults. However, I know have this vast amount of knowledge and experience that I can share with young folk. Especially the tales of walking in 5 feet of snow to school. Perhaps even now, I am too old for blogging. In all seriousness nothing much has changed. I'm still the same old me.

Day 26- A picture of something that means a lot to you.

My education means a lot to me. I'm a very studious student (redundant? I think so). I have met the greatest teachers while up here. I can honestly say that all the teachers I have had are great. It's not only the teachers that are great, but the students as well. While up here I have learned about the learning model. At first, I thought it was evil, but I learned to like it. The learning model process is as follows: 1) prepare, 2) Teach one another, 3)Ponder/Prove. I have found this to be a successful way in learning. When teachers implement this into their syllabus it is super effective.

Day 25- A picture of someone you wish you could meet who has passed away.

C.S. Lewis is someone I'd like to talk to. I want to know the scripture references he would put to all the Chronicles of Narnia. I would also like to know how he was inspired to write his works. I would also like to ask him if he believes the Church of Latter day Saints after being dead :)

Day 24

Day 24- A picture of you and a family member.

I couldn't find a picture with just one family member. I tried finding one of me and Jesse, but that didn't work out. Isn't Jesse's face hysterical? He tries to always mess up the picture or make a face.

Day 23- A picture of you and the person you've been closest to the longest.

My sister, Katie! Despite her not recognizing I was a person, and had my own personality I would say Katie and I have been close. We've gone through head lice together, we've been each others wing-girls, we used to share a room, we both like soccer, the list goes on and on. I've known Katie my whole life, and she is awesome! End of story.

Day 22- A picture that confuses you.

I don't know if I would stop for this sign. It's yellow not red. Although it does say stop, if I were to drive by I might not notice it as well as a red one, especially if it's in an area that I don't know. I want to know where these yellow stop signs are, and see if accidents occur more with them. Why did they do this!?!

Day 20- A picture of someplace you'd like to travel.

I would like to travel to Greece, and learn all about their ancient civilization. I also really like Greek mythology. Don't know the language or what they eat. But I think it would be a cool place to go. It was really hard making this decision because I really like a lot of places. My backups were (Rome, Spain, pretty much anywhere in South America, and Japan).

I'd be in trouble if I didn't mention some people, so there's going to be more than one picture of people I miss.

Day 18

Day 18- A picture of the cast of your favorite show.

I love the Office, however it has been getting progressively worse. My favorite season is hands down season 2. I feel like the office pranks were funnier, the romance was interesting, and Steve Carrel finally got hair implants... that was a much needed change.

Day 16- A picture of someone you would want to switch lives with for one day.

I would definitely want to trade places with George Lucas. Only to be close to Star Wars paraphernalia and having the power to change anything Star Wars because he is sole owner of the the Star Wars franchise. I would write my own star wars book. Get everything Star Wars. It would be amazing! 

Day 15

Day 15- A picture of something you want to do before you die.

I want to attend a world cup soccer game before I die. I would like to go and root for the U.S. as far as they go, then root for one of my back up teams. It would be such an amazing experience. I'm kinda sad that they banned those horns from future world cup matches because they are really annoying, but I really want one! But that's my one wish before I kick the bucket.

Day 13

Day 13- A picture of something you hate.

I really don't like feet. Sometimes they smell, sometimes they're dirty, sometimes they need grooming. I hate when people put their feet by my face. It makes me very uncomfortable. That's all I'm going to say about that.

Day 12

Day 12- A picture of something you love

I love soccer. I'm pretty sure the first word out of my mouth was ball. I've been playing soccer since I was 5, so for about 15 years. I have played on rec teams, metro teams, school teams, and intermural teams. My favorite team has been Vacaville Extreme, coached by Louie DeBartolo. I've played every position (Goalie, Striker, Center Mid, Sweeper, Stopper). My favorite position is hands down striker (who doesn't like making goals?). My favorite soccer team is Manchester United. I've held the jersey numbers 3, 10, and 12. My favorite part about soccer is playing on a team. I like when the team's chemistry is good and we are able to create plays, communicate without communicating, and are usually successful. Soccer is a beautiful sport that many people under appreciate. I <3 Soccer!

Considering that I have a "man wall" with my roommate, it will be difficult to choose just one celebrity crush. So I'll eliminate a lot of them to my top 3 celebrity crushes. They are as follows (no specific order):

Day 10- A picture of someone who has gotten you through the most.

My best friend Sara has gotten me through the most. She knows me very well. She can tell when I'm upset, when I'm hiding something, or when I'm extremely happy. She was there when I didn't want to be a nurse, and now when I do :). I love her and miss her. Can't wait until August 2012 until she comes home!!

Day 09

Day 09- A picture of someone you see yourself marrying or being with in the future.

Wow, they really get personal when these go along. To honestly answer this it's hard to answer this question. I don't know who specifically I'll be with in the future, but I do have some requirements for Mr. Right :)

1. Has to have a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and the Restoration of the Church.
2. Has to have a good sense of humor.
3. Has to be intelligent.
4. We have to be able to communicate well.
5. They have to be able to support me (emotionally and financially).
6. Has to love Star Wars (no exceptions).

Those are the only requirements that I really require (I was joking about 6). I'll let you know if anything develops...

Day 08

Day 08- A picture that makes you laugh.

This is a baby picture of myself. It was labeled in my baby book as "Popeye." It never ceases to make me laugh because I try to rationalize why I would be making such a face. Perhaps the flash was on and that was my reaction to it. Perhaps I had just sneezed, or was building up a sneeze. Whatever the reason, it has remained one of my favorite pictures of myself.

Day 07

Day 07- A picture of someone/something that has had an impact on you.

Maggie

The hugest impact on my life has been getting a dog. I got Maggie during a time when I was struggling. Struggling with friends, school, you name it I was struggling with it. My mom often refers to this time as my "Sophomore slump." I was miserable, and there were no signs of improvement. That's when my mom decided we should add another addition to the family. A dog. We went to the pound in search of a dog. We found one dog that I was interested in, but the way the pound works it's first come first serve. Then I saw Maggie. I knelt down next to her cage and she immediately started licking my hand. I knew she was the one. Luckily, she had arrived there earlier that day and we were the first one's to sign up for her. Getting Maggie may sound like a lame event to have had an impact on my life, but while I was struggling she definitely helped me to pull through and she continues to do so now.

Day 06

Day 06- A picture of your true self.

My name means "joy." Ever since I was a baby I've been known to have a happy disposition. As a baby I had really bad asthma. The doctor misdiagnosed me with the terminal disease cystic fibrosis. I was taken into care of the hospital and they hook me up to a machine to help me breathe better. The nurses said how a baby like me would normally be really uncomfortable, and be handful. But I wasn't, instead, I would lie there there breathing and laughing, then my chest would collapse and I'd start gasping, but still laughing. This is how I earned the respected title of the "Big Fat Happy Wheezer."

Day 05

Day 05-A picture of somewhere you've been to.

I would say the place I should be putting up here would be Spain! My dad invited my mom and me to go to Spain with him, but backed out last minute. So very, very depressing. I haven't even been outside the US. So I will have to settle for Oregon. Oregon isn't as prestigious as Spain, but Oregon is probably one of the coolest states. I would definitely live here if not in California. It's so beautiful. The community was very nice. It's "outdoorsy." I love it. We went to Clear Lake, which was my favorite part of the trip. It's the clearest lake in pretty much the world. It was so blue. I love Oregon. End of story.

Day 04

Day 04- A habit that you wish you didn't have.

Ever since the beginning of time I have not been a morning person. This usually leads me to sleeping in way too much. Last summer, I didn't wake before "double digits," which means I slept in until 10 or later. I feel so slothful and lethargic. It wasn't always like this. There was a time when I got up at 5:30 AM for seminary. Although I was probably grumpy, and tired from getting up this early at least I didn't have the lazy feeling I do now. My goal for this summer is to get up earlier. I hope to extinguish this nasty habit of sleeping in.

Day 03

Day 03 - A picture of you and your craziest friend.

I wouldn't say I have one crazy friend, but a lot. Basically, a group of crazy friends that could be defined in one word. Roommates. When you live with someone, it tends to bring out the crazy in you and them. You guys think of the craziest things to do (go to Walmart and go Wild, play truth or dare,  or even attempt sliding on the linoleum). This post pays homage to my crazy roommates. Oh how I love them.
